The Cell Monitor
A Cell Monitor is mounted on each electrowinning/electrorefining cell. Each unit is enclosed in industrial-quality housing and contains:
• voltage measurement circuitry
• a radio transmitter
• an RFID tag (for set up and asset management)
• a long-life battery (> two years).
The CellView® Mesh Network
The mesh router is the heart of the communication system. Units are distributed around the process plant so each Cell Monitor can communicate with two or more Nexis units. The Nexis wireless mesh next transports the information received from the cells at regular intervals to a server (via OPC) to the Operator Interface in the central control room.
The CellView® Operator Interface
The Operator Interface may be integrated into your existing control system (via OPC) or can exist as a standalone Operator Interface. The Operator Interface has a graphical representation of the layout of the plant and report cell faults as they are detected. The system can also be supplied with a facility to store historical data of cell performance.
