MIPAC’s ShortMeter™, is a Short-Circuit detection monitor which operates on the Hall Effect principle for magnetic field detection. It allows an operator to quickly locate short-circuits and dead plates in an electrolytic tankhouse operation. The device is a low cost, low maintenance, ergonomically designed unit, which requires no calibration. It includes a visual LED display to indicate the fault severity.
